Make a Gift. Keep Families Together.
Why Give?
Every day in Greater Lafayette, families with children face homelessness. Many shelters separate families, but Greater Lafayette Family Shelter is the only local emergency shelter dedicated solely to keeping families together.
When you give to GLFS, you’re not just providing a bed. You’re providing:
A safe room for parents and children to stay together
Nutritious meals and basic essentials
Case management support to overcome barriers
Housing assistance to help families move into stable homes
Aftercare support so they don’t fall back into homelessness
Your Impact
$50 provides new bedding, pillows, and towels for a family entering shelter
$100 covers the cost of work uniforms or clothing for a job interview
$250 provides a "move-out basket" with cleaning supplies, towels, cookware, vacuum cleaner, and groceries to start fresh
$500 helps cover a month of electricity costs to keep the shelter running warm, safe, and open
$1,200 supports five families with shelter, food, and services for a week
